Hi all,

I have a 98 A3 8L - without the facelift so the indicator is a separate cluster. My sister smashed it by accident on a bollard and I was wondering if there is any guides or posts about changing it? Just wanted to know where to tackle it from - the top in the engine bay or from under the wing? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Also looking at the engine bay - the cross member bit is held down by "star bolts" - anyone have a good place to buy a set?

Cheers in advance

Seenan

on the pre facelift there is a white clip on the back of the indicator which you press in and the unit pulls out from the front
hope that helps

Thanks bud, I broke the clip before figuring it out but i suppose it doesnt matter since the new indicator cluster will have a new clip! I was turning the wrong screw at first - there is another hole next to the one for the indicator release clip that turns another white plastic screw with teeth attached to it - any idea what that is for?

Sounds like you were turning the Headlight Beam Adjustment
