OK, so I had a split vaccum hose, and the reader said the MAF was faulty.
It is unplugged, so I kinda knew it would bring up the fault, however I want to buy a MAF just in case it has gone faulty after I cleaned it. Rang audi and they quoted £160 for one, then went on ebay to see if there were any cheaper and theres loads ranging from £20 to £50 with 12 month warranties. Are these suitable for a replacement, as mine is an AUM engine, and the MAFs on ebay are for AGU. Will there be a difference with the MAF or do I need a AUM part?

Any advice appreciated. :)

Buy it from GSF and ONLY buy a genuine Bosch part....they will also give you some money back for your old MAF

Yeah, just had a look at the parts they have. They have one for £25 and it is AUM but they don't have it in stock :-(

£25 is too cheap for genuine exchange bosch maf unit for aum

i would check this..
usually £60+ on exchange, £30 surcharge
