well i have a 98 1.8t agu, i got round to fitting of my front lowering springs today all went well untill i put it all back together and, at a stop or at low speeds i got a clunk clunk when turning both ways at high speeds its ok, but if i look underneath when parked when turning the spring is like moving with it then twanging back ausing the clunk any ideas on how to fix this?

did you set the spring in the correct location? if not then it will turn

yes spring is in set location doesnt turn as such, its like its tryin to turn with the strut then bounces back, can here most of the noise from the top of the strut but its actually the spring? bearings maybe?

top mount bearing. the spring should turn with the leg. if not the top mount bearing is knackard or youve put it together wrong.

ill have it back in pieces tomorrow i think, although i didnt have the issue with the oem spring, only changed them as i had a broken spring to replace, ill check bearing tomorrow
