Ebay heat shield

Okay, long story short, i want to try an open cone, but im worried about heatsoak.

VW Golf mk4/A3 Air intake heat shield open cone shield cupra | eBay

Would this be any good, or waste of money? I would feed it a cold air feed from somewhere on the front of the car.

Got any idea what size the cone is, in the Jetex induction kit? (For A3) Would i be better off just purchasing a stand alone cone? Have not put on a cone before.

For an A3 the jetex neck is 70mm and s3 is 80mm

I meant the size of the cone itself. Some of them are humongous, and others are small.

I got an A3 with k03s tuffty

Bill does a JR filter for that too... you can also use the larger 80mm cone with an adaptor kit that Bill supplies...

Details here... really must get him to transfer some of this to his ASN section sometime lol...

My current oem turbo inlet pipe is only like 8 months old, but would you see any gains with the other one?

And the car is left hand drive.

I also ordered the jetex induction kit.
