Track car issues - help required

Do u think he should buy it then?

Is there a dummies guide to coding the ecu to clocks guide floating around?

go onto ross tech, search immo 2, simple instructions there
no need for skc etc etc this is immo2 in ibiza not immo3

OK bloke selling ECU was dodgy.

He wanted bank transfer no paypal shizzle and i'm not down with that. lol

for temp measures would it be safe to pull a couple of degrees in unisettings - while he get the cash together for a remap?

Edit:

any one got any ideas to why it's pulling timing like that?

Pulling timing due to fuelling being stock is my guess. Have you tried bringing the boost down to whatever a stock Ibiza runs?

Will the car be ready in time for our Bedford trackday?

It better be.

The hours we have put into it in the last 6 weeks....

I was thinking to take a degree or 2 off in unisettings and see what that does with the figures, but I would like to know what implications that may have.

don't really want to reduce the boost. if we have to then we will.

looks like a remap is on the cards asap

Have you done any fuel logs yet to see what the fuelling is doing? I might be running mega lean which may explain the timing pull?!

Could well be?

What m block do I log for fueling?

might shove a 4 bar reg in to see what it does

Block 31 is Lambda and 32 shows the current fuel trim percentage. pop it into this spread sheet:

http://www.ross-tech.net/vag-com/examples/air_fuel_EXAMPLE.xls

If you do a log with 031, 115, 020 together you can see what the fuelling is doing under boost and where the timing is being pulled.

Also what are the AITs (118) like?

Mate you're loosing your touch since the days of our late night mech sessions :moa:

I know matey i haven't used vcds for so long i forgotten what the odb port looks like.

AIT's are fun fuc**ng tastic. the other night we were seeing 16's.

don't forget it's only a teeny weeny blower...

Quick update.

The new Revo stage map'd ecu is awesome much better map. so smooth compared to the old one and the power delivery is much better. The car truly is a pocket rocket. with a couple of **** launches saw saw 5.6 secs 0-60.

also completely destroyed a BMW 330.. suck on my eggs bimmer

The old ecu had been chipped as it had a load of silicone sealant round it.

If its a narrow band ECU do i need to change the fueling in Revo?

Currently running Boost 7 Timing 5 Fuel 8!

0 timing pull on all 4 pots. like nuffin at all.

will post up some new log's when we get it out again...

Hi,

I have the same problem with my N75 and wiring and search prompted this thread. Did you rewire the cables back to the ECU? (I assume that where they go) or just a section.

Any tips in doing so? How long did it take and is there anything to watch for? I ideally don't wanna follow it all the way back to find its common to break in a certain location.

Any ideas or tips would be gratefully received.
