part number request

hi all,

had the s3 up for mot yesterday and it failed on a few things.

the main thing is the power steering pipe that comes out of the pump and along the front of the sump (with the flexi in the middle).

i need to source one of these, audi have quoted me £250, but wont give me that part number to try and get it elsewhere.

any help to get this part no. or part cheaper would be great.

Its an OEM part only I think... Welly got his repaired at a hydraulics specialist for £30 ish quid IIRC... (of course the price could vary...)

Sadly this is another one of those OEM pricing idiosyncrasies where a part that probably looks cheap enough is actually a bonkers price...

i accidently cut the stainless steel power steering pipe that runs over the subframe whilst trying to remove my old downpipe. Got quoted a similar price from Audi managed to get the pipe off and took it to the local industrial estate wheere they welded the hole for a grand total of £5 all back together and works perfectly

i have contacted a company that does hydralic hoses and they can replace the flexi for around 20quid, result....
