Vag - Com Cable

Hi Guys

Just bought my new S3 yesterday and looking to run vag com on it to confirm no issues.

Can anyone recommend a cable to work with a 2001 S3 (210 bhp) model

I have downloaded the software from the Ross-Tech site , so just need a decent cable.

Any recommendations would be great.

Just search eBay for VCDS or VAGCOM... pretty much any of the USB leads will be fine... you won't get full functionality of course unless you register the software ($99 iirc) but it will read fault codes and stuff

Downloaded the *lite* version , its just to make sure everything is alright with the car basically , so dont really think i need the full fat version ?

Cheers I borrowed link and bought one will need to get the proper lead eventually but hopefully this will give me something to get an idea of how it all works etc
