Quick question: Will this cable fit the S3?

Need to buy myself "a cheap eBay cable" like I read on here a lot. Would this do the job and then I download the free version of VCDS on my laptop.

Man that was a quick reply! Thanks! Can old fault codes still I it's memory still slow the car down or cause it to be careful with out going into limp mode? I left a sensor unplugged one night when i changed my alternator and I felt like after I plugged it in, it's not felt 100% - could be just me though!

Fault codes will remain until cleared...

Depends on the fault code... a 17705 can induce limp mode if its a recurring fault... scan for faults and take it from there
