    Boost gauge tee point

Right lads, basically I have had a search on here but cannot find a definite answer as people have been saying to tee from the FPR, but then this could cause fuelling issues, also people have been suggesting the hose from the top of the diverter valve. Any pointers from you lads or is it just a case of tee from any boost/vacume pipe coming from the inlet Mani?

    Thanks a lot

I've taken mine from the dump valve vacuum pipe, works perfect and hasn't affected driveability

You could T of the dc but I think it would be better to T off one of the nipples under the inlet manifold.either will be fine though
    Word!!!

My A3/Martys Golf would smash that, and this guys £7000 GT9743 supercharged love machine.

That's the same thing as the FPR or the DV mate that's where they go to.

Don't get me wrong, it'll work fine. It's just if you do end up getting any kind of leak in the FPR line it will effect fuelling which as you can imagine can be bad.

I T'd my FPR off the rear nipple and boost gauge off the front one. I then run my DV off the one above the TB as I've ripped out my charcoal canister and related pipe work.

the reason why T off fpr is a bad idea is its too important an item to add prospective additional leak paths to for something as benign as a gauge.

if the pipe was to pop off, split to the gauge, the fpr would not do its rising rate fuel pressure job and under boost the engine would lean out = melty in extreme circumstances. for the sake of T'ing into another port, its not worth it.

Oh yeh I'm not saying do it, when i fitted my boost gauge, i was told you get a more accurate reading off the fpr which was why i dd it.
I was intending to swap to the dv soon though.
