When I'm coming off the boost, i.e lifting off or changing gear, I'm getting a flutter noise instead of the crisp psst it used to do.

I've swapped the dv and this made no difference.

No obvious split pipes.

Any ideas folks? (amk s3)

Pipe going to the DV could be getting no vacuum... what DV you using? what did you swap it with to test? are you running an N249 bypass?

Pull the pipe off the top of the DV, get a mate to gently rev the engine and stick your tongue on the end of the DV vacuum pipe, you should feel a strong sucking, it wont hurt... And calm down children ;) lol

If you're getting vacuum, I'd give the DV a good old service to make sure it's not sticking, you could have swapped a broken one for a sticking one, it's a possibility...

If that fails, then get a new length of silicone hose and run it directly from the inlet manifold to the top of the DV.

As above, have you done N249 bypass? If not, that's worth doing and you'll be able to rule out your piping too...
