Wheel speed sensor

Hi Guys,

I've been getting the following error with vagcom:

Address 03: ABS Brakes Labels: Redir Fail!
Controller: 8N0 907 379 E
Component: ESP 20 CAN V005
Coding: 18448
Shop #: WSC 01236
VCID: 3E0FAAB42979
1 Fault Found:
00285 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor; Front Right (G45)
35-10 - - - Intermittent

I replaced both the front right and front left sensors but i'm still getting the above error!

Are right and left sesnors interchangeable? I know the left works so was hoping to test it on the front right to see if the (new) sensor is also dodgy or whether it could be something else.

Any advice?

Where did you get the replacement sensor from? Have you cleared the fault code after changing it?

I had this error a few weeks ago and replaced the front right with a new sensor from TPS, cleared the code and hey presto, Robert's your mothers brother....

Bumping this old thread as I had my ABS light come on the other day, scanned the car and 00285 was the fault, ordered this set of 4 sensors and changed it this morning. Reset to clear the fault and the light extinguished and abs is working fine.

The old sensor came out in 1 go
