Haldex Pump Motor Replacement

True, it is a little expensive for what it is, but if it's a pukka motor, then it's cheaper than a brand new Haldex pump and a second-hand pump is likely to go tits up too.

I have stripped my haldex pump and rebuilt it.
Its very easy, only tricky bit is when strip the motor, the top flange has to go back a certain way.
just take pics when dismantilling and you will be fine.
its 145 with postage, still better than 400 from stealers

Hi

Did you replace the seals when you stripped it?

If so where'd you get them from? Had the seals started failing?

Liam

hi
all your answers are here VWVortex.com - Haldex pre-charge pump removal / disassembly PIC HEAVY
my pump was burnt out so i stripped it and rebuilt a few times to get the gist of it.
i was going down the route of all new parts, guy on ebay used to sell refurbs, but in the end i just bought a second hand one.
if you strip the motor you will see how easy it is to rebuild.
the above thread tells you all about the seals
