Hello everyone,

I've recently registered on here as im looking to buy an A3 very soon. Im just a little worried about the cost of servicing as i've heard its quite high.

I was wondering if anyone could give us a rough idea of the servicing costs (i know this will vary a bit, i will be driving low to average miles a year) and also the service intervals?

This is the only thing thats stopped me going out and buying it yesterday!

Cheers,

Tom

Hi Tom,
I personally have paid approx £165 for a major service (80k)
and approx £100 for a minor service (90k)

Intervals are every 10k

This was at a local audi/VW specialist in Leicester.

Dont let a little thing like servicing put you off! Its not really much different to more bog standard cars. And its only gonna be once a year.

Well thats a lot less than i was expecting.

I currently drive a peugeot 205 so im used to low servicing costs but on a regular basis!

Hopefully i'll find a more reliable A3!

Cheers for that Paul,

Tom

Just don't go to an Audi dealer (£90+ per hour, and inflated parts pricing) and you'll be fine.
Find a good independent VAG specialist who uses OEM parts
