i was wiring up my boost gauge and read somewhere that people had used this dimmer switch for the positive but i couldn't find out anywhere so i ended up using the positive from the heater vent light . So i still don't know im afraid .

Lol... tbh I think I tried this on mine and found it didn't actually dim so just hooked it up to the ignition

I used the dimmer feed from my Ciggy Lighter, I think mine goes light and dark with the dimmer switch IIRC.
