I need to replace both my front shocks, so decided i'd probably get all 4 done while i'm at it.

The question is, do I go with OEM standard shocks, or if not is there a better aftermarket option that i can carry on using with my standard springs that won't ruin ride/lower the car etc?

I'm a bit clueless when it comes to suspension on this car so no idea where to sart or even where to buy. Awesome GT aren't even listing any shocks for the S3 for some reason!!?

I went with the AP shocks and springs setup that i got through damien at DPM.

Seemed good value for money AP 30mm/20mm Lowering Springs & Shocks Suspension Kit S3 8L 1.8T Quattro 01/99> - £323.00 : The premier online mail order VAG suspension and performance specialists. We offer a wide range of all the best branded suspension and performance parts for

lowered the car enough to make it look better but the ride is still good and not crashy at all and since having all the bushes down with poly bushes my car now feels so good on the road.

Hmm...thats the problem, i'm not sure I really want to lower the car really if I can help it. How does it look on the APs, do you have a picture you'd mind posting?

I got billie b8's and h&r springs and tbh it's a nice ride height. I only scrape because of my splitter but otherwise it's fine! Go for eibach for a more gentle ride.

I've got some OEM S3 suspension for sale. It's done 59k miles but the front springs have only covered 10k.

Let me know if you're interested. I only changed since I went for some KW coilovers.

Cheers
