Automatic gearbox limits

i'm looking at some bolt on performance upgrades and mapping etc but before i buy anything i thought i'd do a check to see how much power the auto box is good for. I did a search on here and google but nothing came up for me. Its a 1998 non tiptronic 4-speed auto

I'm only going to push to stage 2 eventually so we'll see

I reckon your first bolt on performance upgrade is a 6 speed manual box

Will be interesting to see the results of your experiment though mate

Haha yeah the 6-speed would be nice but I've got bored of manual boxes now so auto it is for me

Get your gear box serviced if its not been done before.

I got mine done about a year and go and made a huge difference to its performance.

Cheers Scott i'll bare that in mind. The gearbox itself is changing gears and pulling away very smoothly at the moment but a service never hurts
