oil catch can

fitted my oil catch can today and due to not being able to get 19mm hoses, i got 12mm hoses and reducers and fitted them.
whilst i was driving the car today, the oil dipstick seemed to have popped out slightly, could this be due to not enough pressure being released through the breather system?

Id put my money on it being the fact the hoses you've used aren't big enough, too much pressure in the crankcase so finds the shortest n easiest route out, being your dipstick.

19mm hose is easy to get hold of mate just look on eBay
