going to put a new one on soon just wondering if you need to lock the cam pulley and the crank or do they stay on the timing marks without moving?cheers

put some paint or tipex on the crank pulley (this been the one at the bottom that connects to the crank), line up the cam with the timing mark on the cam and the rocker and finally line up the timing mark on the fly wheel as well, well they all should line up and when they do you shouldn't have any timing problems.

i did this with my engine rebuild and we took the cams out of the head and put them back in and made sure the marks were all in the same place and it was sound

Belts on these - not too hard.

Time up engine as is - remove belt. No locking pins on these or anything else.

AGU doesn't have the VVT tensioner, so will be easier as it won't want to jump about.

Fit new belt, check timing.

Simples.

thanks lads just from past experieces with cam belts sometime the cam pulleys jump outa place when the belts taken off.. but thanks for replies ;)
