So the next part of my car to fail seems to be a N/S CV joint. I haven't got under it yet to check but there is a clicking noise coming from the inside of the N/S front wheel arch when the car is in motion and the steering is past about half way towards lock in either direction. The noise isn't present when the steering wheel is turned at stand still, or when the car is driven straight, hence my thoughts about a CV joint.
Anyone have any experience with CV joints/driveshafts on S3's in terms of parts costs/tools needed/difficulty of swapping etc? Any input appreciated.
P.s. Whilst I'm sure its unrelated, it's been vagcom'd recently to identify a faulty O/S wheel speed sensor (which I'll be replacing when I'm under it next).
