S3 Calliper Painting + Forge 008 w/Pics

Had a day off Wednesday so thought I'd get on and paint the callipers

And also last night in the pouring rain i thought i'd fit the 008 too... The strut brace was right in way! Anway managed to get the clips off the old pipes - what a nightmare! But it's all on now and it's lovely.

- this was the tightest and worse clip to get off.. I sustained injuries doing this little b. !!

- strut brace being in the way I undid the other clips and disconnected the hoses to be able to pull it out into the open a bit more to gain better excess the the b clip!

- it's on!

- injuries sustained... lol

lol always.. injuries i try to wear gloves and it still doesnt help

i know i gave up on gloves..! although i didnt actually have any when i did this!!

nice work, why did you go 008 not 007. been wondering about one of those for ages

as far as i'm aware, it's just more efficient and easier to change springs over, plus it's only like a tenner more for the newest revised version so went for that, Damian at dpm recommends these over the 007p and he's in the business so may as well listen!

There isn't much difference between the 007p and 008, apart from the 008 is a better design, looks better and is more efficient when it dumps boost and it's alot easier to change springs.

haha thanks man, it's those bleedin clips! now i have jcs hi grip clips all round it's much better

Haha yeah I just lopped the old clips off with a great big pair of boll*ck chopper wire snips then used the jubilee clips that came with the DV My DV comes off every few weeks for a good clean and service so the jubilee clips are useful

im glad it wasnt just me being stupid or something - half expected people to be like 'nah they're easy to get off why did you have so much trouble!'
