hope you can help ,i have an a3 1.8 quattro and was driving round a round about and the nearside rear wheel came off,i went about 10 meters before it came to a halt. the bolts used were not long enough and they only haad about 3 threads on them.
got the wheel back on and looked under car could see no damage (apart from bumper that had been ripped off) so set off again, no noises or any thing apart from when doing a full lock forward turn now left or right i get a judder feeling from the back end of the car.
has the haldex wound itself up ? i can see no broken parts under car or bent bits

well mate get it on a hoist , and get it scanned i think thats your best bit, however how the hell did that wheel come off ? do you have spacers with std bolts on it or something ?

aftermarket alloys and the dodgy garage who sold me them just used the orig bolts instead of longer ones

fault found, after reading s3louds post on here i was able to find it was the earthing strap.
