Hi,

Trying to get my head around the service intervals for my A3 1.8ts quattro.

what i can understand accoring to a service manual i found online, the belt should be replaced every 180,000 except on engine code AMK which is 120,000 km.

The cam belt was changed on my car at approx 120,000km. I dont need to have it dine again at 180,000 km?

put my mind at ease.

Cheers all

Do the belt every 70,000 miles or 112,000 (approx) km... you should also change the water pump and cam belt tensioner pulley damper as these are not normally changed but should be

great! it was actually changed at 129,000 km, so I can forget about it for a while.

my water pump went bad on 80,000KM so it's a good idea to replace the timing belt as well. Just got my car back yesterday and this Audi 8L works like a charm.
