Hi chaps,

I've just received h&r adapters for my wheels that I've had powder coated black, and I want to paint the studs and nuts to match. But spray paint just seems to run off, I'm using halfords Audi brilliant black and I've spray painted my fair share of stuff in the past and this isnt working.

Any tips?

Use some etch primer mate as most bolts are galvanised and the paint won't adhere well to the coating. Google Upol Acid 8 etch primer and use some of that.

As above, I'm a shot blaster and painter by trade. You need to t wash them with acid, or acid etch them with conventional etch primer.

A longer process would be wire head in drill or grinder but wear all dust mask, goggle, ect..... And have bolts in a clamp lol.

Or lastly you can buy black ones, had them in a old civic of mine.
