Dash/Centre console Help

Hello! i dont really post on here much (just on here to buy bits i need and other information i need)

I have a mk3 golf with an 8L s3 dash and R8 flat bottom steering wheel fitted...

ANYWAYS

iv gone and fitted literally the whole dash, doing the centre console at the moment (got all the bits i needed chopped and trimmed) now im adding the final trim pieces.

Iv just recieved the gear stick gaitor from a3 and its too small for some reason.
Geniune Audi Parts on both but heres a photo showing the size difference.

Just wondering (because cant remember if my centre console is from a s3 or a3) is there a difference between the specs at all?

That gear stick gaitor is from facelift model and will not fit straight to prefacelift console.

You may warm it up in cooker just a bit and then try it to fit.

A3 or S3 in doesn;t matter as long it would be a prelift model stick gaitor.
