I got given this with my car, at the moment it's still got a chavy vent to atmosphere DV on it... wondering if it's worth fitting this or paying out for a 007p

i've taken it apart and found no markings, serial number etc, the only thing i can really say about it is that it's brand new and the machining seems to be of a pretty good standard

Thinks it a copy of the forge 006 dv but not 100%. Test it, if it doesnt leak then buy a spring o suit your boost and fit it.

I have one of those fitted to my A3, standard map, works perfect with no probs at all, as the Guy's say give it a go you have nothing to loose, also a bov which you have fitted will knacker you turbo, so get it off quick.

No it won't mess the turbo up however you are dumping metered air into the atmosphere and the management will not know where its gone you are better of with a recirc on a vehicle fitted with a MAFF

Recirc = recirculating, rather than jetting the air out into the atmosphere, the valve puts it back through the system again (does what it says on the tin) i know my vent to air dv throws up an error code now and again.
MAFF = something along the lines of mass air flow sensor, from what I gather, measures the air passing through the system so your management can work out how much fuel needs to be put in with it, something along those lines I think.
