Dumping sound !

Hi all ,

Iv had a dumping sound coming from my car for a while now and it has been slowly getting worse .
So today i pressure tested it and the tube going to the fuel pressure regulator had a split in it leaking alot of air so i replaced it with silicone tubing .
Would this leak of caused any problems to the engine?

Yup, will have caused a vacuum/boost leak and also affected the cars fuelling, thats why people are advised not to run a boost gauge feed from here and use the dv instead.

But would it of damaged anything at all as it has been like this for a while ?

Does the car run ok? No fault codes etc? Doubt it mate, should be ok as the car will adjust to compensate but its not ideal.

Yeah she runs fine now . Not sure of any fault codes as i have got VCDS but am looking into purchasing it . Ok cool, thanks for the info Dani

Should be fine dude, just may throw up a code on scanning it, that's all.
