Hey, so on way to work today the s3 started over revving, got to work and the pipe below the pcv valve or mushroom or hockey puck whatever you want to call it had collapsed completely and sucked in on itself.....!
Upon taking it off I noticed it was absolutely full of sludge. So I measured pipe, phoned a silicone pipe specialist locally and got some new 19mm Id silicone hose. Then phoned tps Nottingham got a new mushroom/puck/pcv £25 and fitted it all new jubilees on the lot job sorted! The car sounds a lot better, sounds better on revs and dump valve is dumping quicker if that makes sense.
IS THIS FIX I'VE DONE OK.? Or should I go to Audi and get proper pipe. Just to clarify it is 8" approx long (19mm id hose) and goes back to the turbo intake pipe and connects to mushroom obviously, then pcv via the pigtail swirly 3 way that goes to manifold.
I know my descriptions aren't great.
