I know this mite b a silly question but when does the Turbo in the S3 actually kick in?

Is it continuously on or does it kick in @ 3k revs? (like series 2 RS Turbo) or at some other time ???

The bigger the turbo, the more air it requires to get upto speed therefore the higher up the rev range it is before it kicks in. The S3 is larger than a K03 from an A3 for example. I think the S3 turbo gets going at around 2500rpm. This is not really down to anything other than the engine.

Get yourself a boost guage, This way you'll know when your on boost.
