power to weight ratio. what do you have and find out what you can beat

interesting.
but it doesnt really give you an idea of who will beat what. its just purely based on who has the highest number. theres alot more to it than that.

im guessing you're excited for your car to be finished tho? what was your nearest competition?
ferrari enzo? lol

If we get 550bhp (366 PTWR) then

Noble M12 GTO - (321)
TVR Tuscan Convertible - (337)
Ferrari F430 - (342)
Lamborghini Murciélago - (351)
Corvette Z06 - (361)
Westfield Sport 2000 - (370)

I like these kind of stats!

With my 293bhp and 1100kg I have 266bhp / ton,

The site says competition is:

Jaguar XKR R - (234)
Maserati 3200GT - (237)
Lotus Exige (S1) - (247)
Mercedes CLS55 AMG - (252)
Aston Martin DB9 Volante - (260)
Porsche 911 GT3 (996) mk1 - (271)

Not a bad group to be in I don't think!

With 466 brake and 1680 kg I get 277 bhp/tonne, in the real world though prawnys faster, unless we find ourselves on a very straight piece of road lol

But I don't have the same earth shattering road presence of the RS4! I just look like a chav with some gay stickers :p

Stage 2 AUM

Ford Focus ST170 - (143) - as expected
Golf GTI Mk5 - (150) - done before
Celica GT4 - (157) -cool
Honda Accord Type-R - (163) would have a go
Ford Sierra RS Cosworth - (169) (how many of them are standard??)
Renaultsport Clio V6 - (175) would be a good run

Damn I need a k04 hybrid :(

I've got the same list with my K04, but i the real world I'd spank most of those cars. Especially the ST170, they're proper slow!

I really need to put the car on a diet :(

lupo:
342.27 bhp/tonne - car
307.98 bhp/tonne - car + me (after a diet :p
COMMENTS:
BMW M5 (E60) - (278) Ferrari 550 Maranello - (287)
Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG - (295)
Porsche 911 GT3 RS - (997) (302)
Porsche 959 - (315)
TVR T350C - (318)

Ibiza on high boost:
650bhp/tonne - car
586.64bhp/tonne - car + me after a diet :p
COMMENTS:
You have so much horsepower to even care what your Power to Weight Ratio is :)

Bill that's absolutely obscene. I can't even begin to imagine how the lupo must feel with 80bhp/ton more than mine :S and the ibiza.....

well. I think we're all agreed that it's beyond insane!

Would appear to get the 'You have so much horsepower to even care what your Power to Weight Ratio is :)' comment you have to be at 550bhp per tonne PWR (car only)... I would need a tad below 800hp in my S3 to do that LOL....

<tuffty/>

if i have done it right :-/

stage1 s3

Nissan 300ZX - (180)
Mitsubishi Evo VIII - (199)
Audi RS2 - (201)
Subaru Impreza WRX STi - (207)
Vauxhall VX220 Turbo - (215)
Lotus Elise R - (223)

Same here...with 218bhp per tonne.

But the 314lb of torque it's delivering makes it feel quicker.

What are you boys putting into the calculator!? This list is the sort of cars I was expecting not a fkn focus ST170 lol.

My standardish s3 is: 171.43 per tonne.

Ford Focus ST170 - (143)
Golf GTI Mk5 - (150)
Celica GT4 - (157)
Honda Accord Type-R - (163)
Ford Sierra RS Cosworth - (169)
Renaultsport Clio V6 - (175)

correct me if i have done this wrong,

267.9 bhp divided by 0.8 = 334.875 @ fly

car weight 1423kg

my weight 69.85kg

dani how the hell is your standard s3 171/ton??!
have you stripped the car or something??

fred put 285hp in yours, you'l get good competition then. and lets face it, it prob has that easy.

knoxie you've confused the 0.8 rule for airflow-horsepower, with horsepower-fly power.

most, probably all cars are quoted at the fly, so your 267 if thats what your printout is, is at the flywheel

I think I used 283bhp as I'm getting that in airflow :(

I used to smash ST170s in my Clio 182, and I smashed a Clio 182 in my S3 with just a stage 1 map lol.

thank you superkarl, i did try and find my print out, its with the rest of the history of the car, and for the life of me i cant find it haha

Yeah :). Plus the cars stage 2 spec just without the software haha, i need to remap it but then the clutch will go by by lol.

Hows yours 1400? You stripped yours? Im putting 1400 and mines lost a few punds.

Im putting 240 in as it was pulling 235 before the full 3" tbe, plus its not much slower than my mates remapped s3 :).
