esp help

Realistically, you'll need VAGCOM to diagnose what has caused the warning lights to come and and work from there.

Sorry, but the force is weak today.

Well, to state the obvious, you're in limp mode. So you'll need a dealer/mate with VAGCom to clear it for you. If the ESP light is on and NOT the check engine light, the I'd hazard a guess that it's an electronic issue somewhere. Could be the brake light switch (it was on mine) or a faulty ESP sensor (but I forget if that'll cause Limp).

OK. I've just picked the car up from outside the wife's work. The initial diagnosis came from her. I've just had a look and the big hose at the front left of the engine had come off! I've re-fitted it and now seem to have my power back but the ESP light is still staying on. My wife say's that both things happened at the same time, could they be linked?
