Alarm is silent!

My alarm has stopped making the 'beeping' noise when it is activated i.e. detects movement. I'm guessing the speaker has gone?

Anybody got any similar experience? I believe the speaker is loacted next to the rear passenger-side light, next to the central locking control unit - is that right?

Any ideas on costs?

Mines the same, not silent but very quiet beeping /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Mine isn't but I've got a Clifford as well as the Audi one LOL

from the factory it was silent but with vag come you can turn the beep on... its really quiet though... i wouldnt mind finding the siren and swapping it for a big loud one. my alarm was going off the other night cause i left the window open and i didnt even realise till my friend turned up and i opened the door and saw the lights flashing

I understand that early cars used the horn instead of the beep. I usually curse car alarms but I agree that the beep is a little too quiet.
