Writing on inside of Avus wheels

This is something I've been meaning to ask for a while:

Anyone else got a big letter B written on the inside of each wheel? Obviously done at the factory. If so how the hell do you remove it? Its written on in some kind of textured ink.

    Hey Al!

    How's it going?

Try methylated spirit or isopropyl alchohol, that should shift it.

    Al,

Electric sander should do it . You can borrow my Dads .

    Thanks chaps.

I was thinking of using a chisel! No pic's unfortunately.

I'll have to try some different methods in spring when the weather is warmer.

It is good stuff but I noticed the price of this 9.99 per litre on the site.

Costco do 5 litres for about the same price or even less.

Time for a group buy, I think

Ram, cheers, but that was the first thing I tried. Didn't remove a single bit of it.

I know its not important really, but in summer I do clean the inside of the alloys, after which the big letter B is visible - not good if I want to enter any concours (?spelling?) events this year.

    Ram,

That sounds perfect. There's a supplier near work too.

    Cheers

T Cut is similar too, the metallic one is less abrasive than the std one.

Failing that try a Leeflex disk on a 5" angle grinder

    Cheers,

    Jon.
