    S3 hesitant at WOT

Before I had a remap done my S3 would hold back at WOT, if you pressed the pedal almost to WOT about 1cm short, it would boost nicely and run strong.
Now that I have had a remap done, its still the same but obviously feels worse since there is more boost. Same story though, at WOT you dont get that blured vision, fast and furious style but 1cm short of WOT and its all a blur

Anyone know what is causing this? I feel the need to shorten the accelerator cable a bit but its fly by wire !!

Any fault codes? could be torque monitoring intervening... what map is in it?

I have changed all 4 coil packs for the Tfsi coil packs. Left the plug gap the same tho. Car did the same thing with the old coil packs with the remap.

I have these 2 faults, the EVAP one is new, just before remap. Coolant one has been there for about a month. Plan to fix this soon. Been on vacation.

16825 - EVAP Emission Control Sys: Incorrect Flow
    P0441 - 35-00 - -
16502 - Engine Coolant Temp. Sensor (G62): Signal too High
    P0118 - 35-00 - -

Also have the following with the AWD
65535 - Internal Control Module Memory Error

    00-00 - -

I'm not sure what you mean by , "what map is it in"
    Do you mean what stage?
Its a custom map by a tuner here in Dubai.

I also logged the mass air flow this morning, using meas block 002, the highest I got on a remap was 150gs, I thought the gs would be over 200

Evap one is normally due to removing the EVAP vacuum source when doing a clean up on pipes... one goes into the TIP and the other into the top of the throttle body... if there is little or no flow (from lack of vacuum) detected by the ECU then it throws this fault..

Your airflow is way too low... std S3 will do 170gs all day long... remapped then its nearer 200gs...

    The other fault code ...
    16502/P0118/000280 - Ross-Tech Wiki

16502/P0118/000280 - Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (G62): Signal too High
    Possible Symptoms

Difficulties with starting a cold engine.
Starting the engine when engine is warmish or warm, idle rpm immediately is 1200 - 3000 rpm.
    RPM at idle is irregular.
With all engine temperatures idle rpm will often vary between 900 - 1000 rpm.
With engine warm (90 °C) the engine temperature suddenly drops (70 °C) and slowly comes back to 90 °C.
    Bad acceleration during warm-up.
Diesel Engines: Glow plug indicator may be on for a longer than normal time or at ambient temperatures where it shouldn't come on at all.

    Possible Causes

The electrical signal coming from G62 is too low
Wiring and/or connections faulty (short circuit?)
Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (G62) faulty

    Possible Solutions

    Check wiring and connections
Check / Replace Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (G62)

    Special Notes

In many cars between MY 1995-2002 the G2/G62 had a bad reputation for failing often. The original G2/G62 sensor is black and the improved replacements are green.

Suggests a faulty coolant temp sender and should be fixed really before chasing other issues as the ECU relies on this sensor for a lot of stuff..

On the 65535 AWD fault, check the control unit plug and the rear diff earth strap..
Haldex not working? No communication etc? Look inside

So would you say my MAF is on its way out? Could that be causing the hesitation at WOT.

With the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, I dont get any of those symptoms, except the idle rpm is a little off, by about 20-30 rpm.
But I will be replacing the G62 soon.

My AWD system is working, I can feel it when Im in a corner also when I drive like a holigan and get the car to AWD drift, very slightly tho. I will have a look at the haldex over the weekend. Plan to fit my downpipe and decat if it arrives. Any advise on fitting this would be appreciated.

Thanks for your help Tuffy, you like the ASN wiki
