immobiliser

Alright guys .. having a bit of trouble with my immobiliser on my audi a3 1.8 2001 it locks with the fob like normal but the alarm keeps going off any ideas on how to solve this .. please?!?!

If you have access to VCDS then check for alarm fault codes.. (central locking module I think)... could be a faulty sensor...

Also could be the backup battery as well as this is known to set the alarm off if its on its way out...

They sound like a digi watch alarm......pants
