H7 or H1 Bulbs 2001 A3?

hi ye all,

Is it H1 or H7 for facelift A3s headlight bulbs.

Looking at a set of bulbs on ebay, and want to get the correct ones, nothing in my owners manual, it says "take your car to the dealer so he can charge you £40 for half an hours labour"

Try checking out the bulbs catalogue in halfords for some 'free' advice, or there might be a bulb company online that offers the same???

Facelift should use H1's for the regular beam and H7's for the High Beams (Also H7's in the Fogs).

Try Halfrauds, they do 100w versions of both for less than a tenner a bulb. If you havn't got xenons its a good upgrade. Fit them yourself (hafrauds "tech" broke one and bits ended up in the headlight surround).

And before everyone piles in:

Yes its illegal but so are a lot of things that we do and you would be very unlucky to be pulled if your lights are aligned correctly. I never get flashed by oncoming drivers.

No I havn't blown fuses, melted the wiring loom, caused an international incident, after two years running these.
