Hi all, nice to meet you.

Thought i would ask in here as someone is bound to know, I hit my 1999 a3 1.8t the other day and smashed up the front bumper on the passenger side. Bumper and indicator housing are being replace and i have the parts, the weird thing is when i hit it loads of fluid came out and then when i got back in the car the windscreen washer warning came on and i had no windscreen fluid left. Why would that be anywhere near the bumper? If anyone can help that would be awesome.

Thanks :D

Never noticed them, will go look now, the bumper that got smashed has got the little black square bits on it by the headlights but i have never seen them up or working, will go check now :), will post a pic

Square bits means it has headlight washers and that would be why you have lost your fluid at a guess...

I suspect you have damaged the washer jet and its leaked from there...

Could i clip it or bypass it in anyway? Or do i need to get more new bits?

More new/previously owned bits would get them working again... to disable them for the time being you could disconnect the headlamp washer motor and block the hose going to the damaged washer...
