2.0L Fsi cankshaft part number - Where ?

Hello peoples,

Where would I find the part number on a VAG crankshaft? The only number I see that looks like a part number is on the timing trigger wheel. Would it be behind the trigger wheel.
I have to go look at a spare yard and find the correct crank to stroke my S3.
How would I know if its a 2.0L fsi crank?
how do you measure the stroke of a crank?

If its been removed from the engine rather than laying about on the floor then surely the breakers will have the info for it..

If its laying on the floor then walk away...
