Has anyone used Mid-Kent Techinical ltd in Sittingbourne (cambelt for £270)

Hi guy has anyone used Mid-Kent Techinical ltd in Sittingbourne,

I need a cambelt change as mine was last done at 65000 and im now on 122000. Not used any vag mechanic's or even had anything done to my audi yet as i've only had it for three months. Is £270 with water pump a good price.

The only thing im worried about is them not actually fitting the cambelt and water pump.

Anyone used anyone else local to me ????

Try Dean at 4 rings - he's local to you (dartford) and is mobile.

I've used him for about 4 years now and the service and price are hard to beat.

I know it was a simple job, but no complaints.

I just had my cam belt and water pump done at mid kent technical , absolute bargain
The lad kept all the old parts and was under £300.

The best bit was it was waiting to go into audi as the engine light was on
And they told me it needed a throttle flap £680. The guy at mid kent tech had noticed the engine
Light on and plugged it in and found a broken wire to the flap and fixed it.

I was amazed to drive it off and find it fixed ; Didn't even charges me !!
Runs great

They say on their website, they get the parts at trade and sell them at trade

I had mine done for £300 with oem parts, they showed me the parts when I turned up as well so I could be sure they were oem

Ha, Damn I was quoted nearly €1000 to get the timing belt done on my car by a local garage. You can guess what my reply was. So I went and did it myself with the help of a friend.

Hi Nick,

Did you try mid-kent technical in the end? If so what did you think?
I have a cam-belt due on mine and a few other bits and bobs and these guys would be convenient for me especially at that price.

Also, do you know if they look at non-service jobs?.. need someone to look at my valve seals (getting a little bit of blue smoke for the 1st few mins of running).

Yes, l've used them. No problems. Our old Audi Quattro had N engine vibration at 130,000 took to East Kent Audi where we'd had it serviced for several years they could find nothing. At 138,000 vibration more pronounced, took it to East Kent Audi, sat in the car with techie with engine running, he agreed there was a vibration after a lot of faffing about and days later they suspected it was the dual mass flywheel, although the plug in computer could not test for that, it did show there had been a misfire. Price for flywheel job, including clutch £1,750 which they could reduce to £1,400.
Mid-Kent Techinical said £800, which they did, only glitch their parts supplier sent them kit for Non-Quattro which they fitted before finding clutch not working, took extra day to get correct kit and fit. Paid £800 job done. Ironically did not need the clutch, obviously fitted it.

I got a gates kit for £135 and I got a local garage were my friend works to fit it. He did that and an mot for £150, so £270 is a great price all in.

Mid Kent Technical Sittingbourne! I have joined this forum today just to put minds at rest! I feel very strongly about rip off garages but......They do what they say on the tin! VW, Audi, Mercedes, BMW specialists I don't think they can be beaten on knowledge ,price or workmanship!
I was recommended about 5 years ago and would not dream of going anywhere else! Used by all my family and friends!
