Hi all haven't posted in a while been a touch busy enjoying the car now I've fixed the problems that it had since I've bought it.
But im now looking to the future Big Turbo build and im wondering what I need to Fabricate my own 3" exhaust as im fairly handy with fabrication (I have access to alot of tools
from mills, lathes, welders (tig and stick) and a **** load more power tools).
I plan on buying a 3" downpipe and sports cat and a back box, so I need to just make them fit where there supposed to with some 3" stainless.
My question is how much I need to purchase in length and what grade (wall thickness) is generally used, and what else I will need as I haven't done much with exhausts before.?
My car is a A3 1.8T Quattro facelift, but Im hoping to go with a K04 conversion at somepoint in the summer so im just planning the supporting mods now.
Any help would be fantastic and issues I might face such as the Haldex and routing heat sheilding and such?
