Hi guys. ive not long had my s3 but have had a few issues with it. and now i think my exhaust is blowing. i took it to the place i got it and they assure me its not. however i can cover the end of the exhaust and it will continue to run and you can hear air still comfortably escaping from somewhere. is this right?. thanks. daz

It could be your secondary air injection mate... If it has it. Either that or there is a tiny drain hole in one of your silencer boxes... Sometimes exhaust companies put them in there to let condensation drain out and stop them corroding so fast.

Jack the car up and put it safely on axle stands, get a mate to cover the exhaust... Or if you have no friends.... ;) put some tape or something over the exhaust and have a listen yourself ;)

Tape it is then!! its defo coming out with the tips covered. lots. it must be a fair hole but i cant see it. . the car doesnt strugglr to tick over which i thought it should. and my car isnt fitted with the secondary air intake.

Haha bless :D

If it's not SAI then it's got to be blowing.. Take it to another garage for a 2nd opinion... A decent garage shouldn't charge you to have a look if you make them think you're going to bring business their way ;)
