Wiper death

Hi guys, this has no doubt been covered before but can't for the life of me get the search to work!

Wipers seem to have given up the ghost (VERY slow and get stuck halfway up/down the windscreen) so am guessing the culprit is a seized linkage.

Does anyone have a part number for the linkage handy? And is there a how-to guide floating around somewhere?

I paid £24 posted for a used linkage on ebay and it's been fine for me. Takes about 30 minutes to fit if the old arms come off easily.

Itll be the spindles siezed up. All i done is stripped the wiper linkage down. removed the spidles (with a lot of heat) and put it all back together with some copperslip and grease.

Whatever you do tho take a picture of the linkage before you remove it cos its a pain to get it right again.

bobby, you're obsessed with it being the rear wiper. haha.

Read the thread again, it sounds more like it's the front wipers at fault.

Cheers for all the replies, and yes as prawn sys it's the front wipers, managed to somehow miss that out in my first post!
