Do I Need A New Loom ??

I'm sure there was a thread about this not so long ago but i cant seem to find it


Yesterday while trying to sort out a hose i noticed that there was a piece of plastic cover missing from a couple of the wires on my coil packs:

How can a piece of shield just disappear (the wires not bee stretched)....lol


I could only see it happening to the wires pictured and have now taped them up but does this mean i now need to change the complete loom?

You cannot change just that part of the loom (well you can from Awsome, cant remember the cost) but its a DIY job. You cant buy just the coil pack loom from audi though, youd have to buy the whole engine loom for £500... not worth it. Either try the DIY loom from Awsome which youd need to splice onto the existing engine loom, or you could just take the loom off and heatshrink over the broken parts and get some propper heat shield to cover it all up again.
