Hello chaps, I’ve managed to get some piccies of my new motor, it's nothing out of the ordinary but I wanna know what you think about the ride height, I'm leaning towards lowering by about 35mm max, general consensus in the office is split pretty much 50-50. What do you reckon?

And what about the AMD badge (i'm not convinced)?

Also, I thought I would include a picture of the install at the back, any comments welcome, good or bad!

I've obviouly done something wrong hosting the pics, I clicked on 'image', put in the URL link from Putfile.com, what am I not doing right?

Cheers, M

Thanks Nathan, I went to resize em, by the time I had sorted them, you had done it for me, cheers /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif

(still unsure what went wrong though /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif)

Cheers, I agree that less means more with badges, thats why there are zero other badges to be seen, inc the 4 rings.

Opps! Erm, any opinions on ride height, to lower, or not to lower?

if you saw 5th gear last night - you'd be jacking its height up a few feet!!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Tell me about it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

i like the AMD badge. I want one when my remap's done! its subtle and its a bit more tasteful than 'Motorsport' or 'Turbo' as a visor!

Indeed! What about a 5" high Alpine sticker accross the back window, I reckon that would look well wicked, in it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/vomit.gif

Still unsure whether the car looks right at this height, or whether it looks like I've just bolted a set of rims on it, which I have, but does it look like an after thought rather than looking like it came out of the factory like that. If you need a better view click on the picture posted above.

Cheers, M

i think the ride height is fine... looks about the same as my s3 with the same wheels... maybe look at colour coding the black bits along the bottom of the sils though and fitting s3 front and rear bumpers to make the wheels suit the car more

see i dont think mine is any lower is it???

Thanks for the compliments chaps /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif It's nothing out of the ordinary at the mo, I have to say i'm rather chuffed with the install though /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jump.gif

Jedi, your right the ride height does look like a similar to yours, that has now convinced me that it doesn't look like bodge job /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yes.gif. It's been off the road for just under a year, half that time it's been dangling from a two poster ramper, so it may take a while to settle completly.

Front bumper will not fit without having a piece cut out of the centre and being rejoined.

A bit like the operation to shorten those who are too tall, by removing an inch of bone from their legs?

LOL I suppose so.

Maybe not the best analogy /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif but you got it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/lol.gif

I thought there were issues lining up the arches with the flares on the S3 bumper? or does shortening the width of the bumper do it just fine? If so, i'm on the look out for some S3 bumpers!

Pontio, the sub is a 10", as for getting in, we had to build out a bit to create the room required, the back of the box was created using tin foil to follow the lines of the wheel arch and quarter paner, and then fibre glassed the mould to get a snug fit /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ok.gif
