Ive got a 2002 1.8T with an AUM engine, I fitted a K&N Filter and a Forge Recirc Valve then had the car remapped at AmD Essex. It went from 150bhp to 185bhp i then had the coilpacks and spark plugs replaced.
I have seen a lot of threads about remapping these engines and im starting to feel that i could of got more bhp out of my engine on a stage 1 remap. Im about to have a sillicone tip fitted then was thinking about getting the stage 1 redone somewhere else possibly R-TECH as they have told me i should see about 210bhp.
Im looking for some advice as R-TECH is a long way from me they have quoted a price to come to me for the stage 1 which is 250 plus 40 for fuel.
Andy advice would be appreciated?
