A3 1.8t sport with pics

Hello all,

Iv had my Audi a3 1.8t sport 150bhp for just over a week now and I really like it, but it's just so slow! I'm used to driving my fiesta rs turbo or my escort rs turbo, and altho the fiesta has over 230bhp I would expect the Audi to b slower than it. But my escort rs turbo has only 156bhp and it just walks all over the Audi!!! And not just by a little, it's a lot!

So what I'm wondering is, what's the best way to make the Audi more lively?

Iv fitted a k&n but thats it, the rest is standard. I hav a fmic in my shed that I'm going to fit but apart from chipping it is there anything else I can do?

The thing I like from my fords is when the turbo kicks in u no about it and in the Audi u no it's there but just not doing much, and be for someone says it the turbos fine!

Plus what's the max safe boost level I can run?

Research research research, A decent stage one remap will show great gains along side with forge 007p dv and if u fit the fmic will only get better I myself have had my fair share of ford turbos but still rate the audis for good reliability if u see my sig below i have the same car as u and just spent money in the right places but I'm looking for great fun and reliability good luck with the remap, I would recommend Rtech as they did mine and I loved it so going back this week for stage 2 !

Cool cheers mate, so remap it is then, Iv been very lucky with my fords, so far as reliability goes as my 3 have been spot on, but fancied something newer for the trips back and forth to work! Plus my Audi was mega cheep as it was in a bump so is a bit mix matched at the mo,

With very basic mods, and a decent stage 1 remap (I would also recommend r-tech) u will see around 195bhp with boost. Around 15-19psi, and that's all you will get out of the little k03 turbo, I am in the exact same boat as customboy with the same car, I already have stage 1 with a fair few mods done now and I wet the RS every time, I can even hold into my m8s 330 Beemer!!!!! You will love the boost when you have her remapped!!!! Flick through the stickys if u need more info!!

Haha not me mate, I bought it like this.
Iv only had it a week but give me another week and she will b all fixed up!

Not bad for what I pay'd for it tho! £200 with mot and tax haha

Bonnet corners hit the windscreen in the bump! So far iv spent £300 on a whole new front end off another car in the right colour, so will sell silver bonnet, black wing and the new black front bumper, and c how much of my £300 I can make back! Got new windscreen thru my insurance and bought a new front panel for £40 as the guy didn't replace it when he put on the new parts, muppet lol

All and all she should cost me around £4-500 to buy and put her right! Prob get that 4 the wheels alone lol

For my £300 I got both front wings, bonnet,front bumper top and bottom,both wing mirrors and the plastic splash gard from under the pass wing. And p&p up to me in Aberdeen, I thought that wasn't to bad for all genuine parts in the right colour and in near mint condition, only the front bumper has a tiny we scratch

Or hav I been over priced?

It's up and running now mate, lol I got the windscreen fixed the day I got it, should get all my new parts 2mor then not this weekend but next il strip the whole front off and replace it!

well got all my new panels lastnite, so after tea i loaded my car and went to my lock up!

and after 3 hours this is the end result! not bad eh?

all she needs now is the silly stickers at the bottom of the doors removed and a good polish!
