What were the blank buttons for in my S3?

As title really, have a 2002 S3, was wondering if anyone knew what the blanked out buttons were for on the dash by the hazard switch?

not sure really, i only have the ESP button in the middle of three. Maybe they were for heated seats?

You can get some engraved replacements from what i saw in the 8P forum

on facelift cars like the OP`s the heated seat switches moved to down by the climate control so those blank buttons would not be for heated seats.

But i dont know the answer either

I think the panel is just generic and used on multiple models.

The A4 has its front and rear fog light switches beside the hazard switch as well as an ESP or ASR button for cars so equipped.

These buttons go either side of the ESP button on the facelift interior, as mentioned above.
