hi iam new to the forum and this is my firs post so any help would be appreciated. i have read through alot of the threads and have noticed the stereo systems in the a3s can be a bit of a nuisance. ok ive got a w reg 3 door 1.8t a3 with the standard non bose system, ive had the car for 3 months and have never heard sound through the rear speakers and the front ones are distorted as hell, there blown, the head unit is a new sony one and has been fitted using the pc9 404 lead but still nothing through the rears, there is a bit of bass coming from the sub but very low. i was told by a car audio specialist that the rears were blown as well as there was no problems with the wiring. At the minute i just want all the speakers to work so i can listen to music with half decent speaker, iv been told to jus replace all the speakers with standard audi replacements and this should fix the problem, im willing t do this jus seeing if there is anything else i can check to make sure this will solve my problems. any feedback would be much appreciated thanks in advance t

I'm the same with my S3 I'd Like to know an answer to.

The rears and sub will be very quiet compared to the fronts as the fronts are getting twice the power from the Sony and the rears are still using the puny 2 x 20w rear amp, which is why the sub is very faint. You will need to fade to rear quite a bit to even up the sound. I would replace the speakers with aftermarket units, no point putting the paper cone Isophon crap back in there. You will need adapters to fit all speakers.

if i fade to rear there is no sound from rear speaker, you can still bass comin from the sub but still quiet

As you said the rears are blown, even if they were working they would still be quiet.

ok so it sounds like all the speaker areblown and need to be changed, are there any speaker you would recommend as you obviusly dont rate the audi ones? thanks for your help
