Alarm replacement Will this work

I've suffered battery melt down on my alarm siren, to much damage to repair it so I'm going to replace the unit.

Ive found one on eBay eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace

Looks different but has similar part numbers 8L0951605 & 1J0951605

Plug looks the same but will it work on my s3?? Has any one tried

The battery leaks because of its age, buying a second hand one is surely buying the same problem? Id get a new one from Audi.

If you buy a second hand alarm unit is it possible to open it up and change the battery so it's got a new battery avoiding the issue of a leaking old battery.

Thats what I'm planning to do. I can't find exact match only the one in the link any one knows if it will work with my car ?
