Ok, the silly plastic t piece things inside your headlights which attach the levelling motor to the lense are known for being crap and breaking. Its also known that you cannot buy these as spares either.

I just had a conversation with Hella UK and as these light units are made for Audi they are not allowed to sell certain spare parts, one of which is this silly clip !

I am in the process of drawing up the clips in 3D cad and am going to get a batch made up, probably in Aluminium.

I wanted to see if anyone else would be interested in a pair ? due to the work involved I would imagine I could supply these for about £10 a pair. They will be slightly redesigned to make them stronger and hence prevent them from ever breaking again.

Please add your name to this thread if you would be interested in a pair so I can see if its worth my while going out to various companys to produce them rather than me just making a pair for myself.

Ok not meaning to highjack this thread but i am after any options to fix this asap. I have found these on ebay LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 2 HEADLIGHT HEADLAMP ADJUSTMENT ASSEMBLY KIT 3 CLIPS | eBay

Now granted these are for a land rover but the ball joint on our leveling motor i think would fit ideal into that cup design, we could then cut it down to size and fix it back up. It should be perfect because if im right in thinking that the level motor just pushes itself back and forth to level the headlight then it wouldn't need to have the bar shape which it had before because there is no need for it to go side to side, also the fact that it has 3 cut outs i think would mean its perfectly flexible for when we go over bumps or potholes and shouldnt break it. I will order a set of these now because there cheap and its worth a bash but if Sideways Steve does get back intouch i am still interested but i will keep everyone posted because im desperate to get my facelift headlift on before any of the big shows in the summer.

In a word...........YES!
The clips arrived today, now although i havent got them fitted yet or the facelift headlights, i did get the headlight motor and pushed it into these new clips and they are a perfect fit. Tight to push in but are very sturdy and wont break in my mind, its also abit of a pull to pull um back out but they wont break as they have 3 slits in them so are designed to be pushed and bent abit.
I'll get some photos up tommorow so you can all see what im trying to do but i would say these are "proper job"!
