Hello all,

As with other members I appear to be in the 'one thing after another,' bracket at the moment. The vehicle in question is a 2001 S3 8l, it's been mapped and from what I can tell is running about 275 BHP. I just got it back from it's MOT last night, a fortnight long saga to get a pass, and on the way home found it underpowered and making a large hissing noise about 4000rpm. I'm confident it's nothing to do with the place who MOT'd it, just another one of those things. My liquid gauge has thrown up fault code 17705, so it's a boost leak. The garage I usually use is good but it's just too far away and with my working hours it's impossible to get the car to and from it without taking time off and after the last fortnight of finishing early to get the car from one place to another I feel a bit cheeky asking for more time off.

I've already tried several garages around Coventry but have yet to find one that doesn't bodge repairs and charge dealer prices, will own up when they've screwed up or that I even trust to leave my car with. I know there's a fair few performance Audi's in and around Coventry so who would you recommend I send the car to? Someone with a leak detector would be a bonus as having the mrs rev the car with my head stuck under the bonnet in the dark is wearing thin,

Sandy

Head down to Badger 5 in Gloucester.

It'd be worth the 55 minute drive I imagine.

The others on here will give you the details, look online or check the asn site sponsors.

Hello mate where do you usually go? I take mine to joy at midland vw which is in Cannock. Always been fine there. Otherwise there is r tech in Hinckley which isn't too much of a treck.

I've been to Badger 5 on their Rolling Road day last year. I know the service would be spot on but driving to Gloucester every time the car throws a hissy fit is just not economically viable. I'd be better off sticking with my current mechanics

I use OSC Motorsports in Rugby. They're a BMW specialist but the man knows his stuff, it's just a nightmare getting to and from, especially around 5pm which is just a nightmare. OSC is great, I'm just wondering if there is someone just as good a bit closer

Try Road and sport Developments (RSD) in Daventry. VAG specialists and very knowledgable. Owner used to be part of
SEAT rally team and knows his VAGS inside out!!

Failing that Bahnstorm in Northampton again come highly recommended...
